Master in PARAMETRIC DESIGN


III EDITION    

 

This study program introduces you to parametric design and digital manufacturing in the fields of:

 

design product, architecture, landscape, digital fabrication, etc. through the creation of physical and digital parametric models using as main tools Grasshopper for Rhino and our CNC milling machine.
GRASHOPPER is a software used at famous architecture offices as Zaha Hadid, or engineering teams as the one of Sagrada Familia (Barcelona), one of the most technological advanced buildings in the world.
We will have the best available tutors and instructors, for every UNIT. With university teaching experience.
Who is it for?
Aimed to professionals and students from the world of architecture, industrial design.. interested in learning and the use of parametric working tools.

The Course includes a Full RHINO 5.0 Educational Licence!

 

 

 

The course is divided into 3 GROUPS with several UNITS and a THESIS or personal work

GROUP I: NURBS modelling (Rhino, Grasshopper, Digital fabrication)

GROUP II: MESHES modelling (Grasshopper for organic design, structural analysis, thermal calculation and meta-materials) 

GROUP III: INTERACTIVITY (Grasshopper and its connection with arduino, sensors, data from internet)

THESIS (personal work on the main interests of the student based on the previous units)

From Monday to Thursday

The aim of every UNIT is that students can learn new parametric tools based on Grasshopper.

Lectures are taken in the morning. Afternoon time is devoted to students to work on their personal projects based on what tutors have taught during the morning.
